One Week Already!

I can't believe we've had this little boy for one week already! He's completely entered our hearts and has us all smitten and running to do his bidding. What a sweetheart! I took him yesterday to the doctor for the little checkup following the hospital release, and he weighed in at 8 lb 1 oz. They want babies to be back to birth weight by two weeks old. Mitchell surpassed his birth weight at 5 1/2 days! Guess what we spend a lot of time doing? Mitchell's first bath - given by Grandma. He didn't love it until she started washing his hair. His second bath a few days later he didn't even make a peep - just completely content!
Annie is a little bit put out that it's Dad's turn to hold Mitchell. (She kind of thinks this is her baby!)
Notice the love and contentment...she doesn't get enough time with him!
Grandma isn't smiling here (it was the end of the day), but Mitchell looked so cute and grown up! We've all commented on how much stronger his neck muscles are getting - very noticeable difference from 5 days ago when we came home from the hospital! He really is growing too fast for me.
The boys hanging out...

This little guy has been so much fun. I don't ever get to hold him enough or kiss him enough, but he never lacks attention! He seems to be waking up more today than he has the past week, so life might get a bit more hectic. Speaking of, there he is now...should have slept for that 90 minutes...oh well...had to celebrate Mitchell's one week birthday!!!
