Akron Marathon Relay Team

A friend asked me to join their relay team fro the Akron Marathon - so much more fun that I was expecting!  We had a great time!  I was the 4th leg and Jessica was the 5th leg, so we 'ran' with our families for the 1 mile Kids Fun Run.  Guess who else ran this mile????
Mitchell was a stud!  He was so cute - I think Andy held him for a short part, but he struggled to get back down and ran the whole way in!  (No pictures of the other kids because they took OFF and went fast.)  Below - my group and 2/7 of Jessica's.
No running pictures, although my family was cheering for me at the end of my 4.5 mile UPHILL leg!  Great feeling...run wasn't as great as it could have been as most of the my route was through a forest - beautiful, but I couldn't get pandora to work.  Next time I will have music already loaded!!!
Our relay team with crazy socks!  The morning started out so cool but I was sweating buckets before the morning was over!  Such a fun thing to do together!!!!  "Moms on the Run"
And off to take Ben to his soccer game...leave to take the girls to play practice...back to get Ben and Andy and home to shower!!!

September Happenings...just a few months later!

The kids LOVE going to science class at the library.  This day, Ben had a soccer game.  Annie liked it better that way because Ben wasn't there to answer all of the questions.  ;)

Below - family home evening - acting out Samuel the Lamanite, high on the city wall - Mitchell was just awesome.  The townspeople were very careful to not hit him!
Ben playing soccer on a perfect picturesque day - he scored his first (and only) goal in this game.
Finding my lost little boy...
Snacktime!
Coaxing him out...the chickens were a bit confused - Princess Buttercup looking on.
Teaching Emily to ride without training wheels.  Annie is such a great big sister!
Mitchell and his friend, Aspen.  We took their dogs on a walk...how I long for those beautiful fall days while we currently have 6 inches of snow and haven't been above freezing for several weeks!
Annie helping Mitchell ride the scooter all the way to Miss Linda's.
Absolutely gorgeous day at the Zoo - we took our little friends, The Vaughns, because their mama had a brand new baby at home and was getting ready to move to Virginia.
He suffered through a picture with mom.  Mitchell was dead-tired and fell asleep about 2 minutes into the drive home!
