We have been looking for a holiday break to visit our fabulous friends that moved to Toledo last June. President's Day weekend finally happened - and no one was sick! We left right after church on Sunday and got to the Castle's just in time to play before dinner.
The kids had a great time playing with their friends. Mitchell loved having new spaces to explore and a little friend to bend down and smile at. Monday we went to the Toledo Zoo and LOVED watching all the active winter animals! There was a new giraffe that kept coming up to the window and licking it...
We brought suckers to keep kids occupied in case we happened to be there for 6 hours and went way over lunch time... It turned out to be VERY cold that day - thankfully I had Mitchell's bear outfit in the trunk leftover from Groundhog Day!
Loved this cutie - monkeys, gorillas, orangatangs - they are all my favorites!
Happy day at the zoo - except for Emily.... I can't remember why she didn't want to be in the picture! Although, we did get some crazy looks: 2 moms and EIGHT kids?!? Fun, fun time; can't wait to come and visit again!
